What data we store

TabSnip stores the following data locally on your device using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API:

This data never leaves your browser and is not accessible to us or any third party.

What we do NOT collect

TabSnip does not collect, transmit, or have access to:

— Your browsing history or any page content
— Personal information of any kind
— Analytics, crash reports, or usage statistics
— Cookies or tracking identifiers
— Any data from third-party services

There are no servers, no databases, and no network requests made by this extension.

Permissions explained

TabSnip requests the following Chrome permissions:

Permission Why it's needed
tabs To read the URLs and titles of open tabs so you can save them as a session
storage To save your snippets and sessions locally on your device
content scripts To detect keyboard shortcuts and expand snippets in text fields on web pages

No permission is used beyond its stated purpose.

TabSnip does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. No data is shared with any third party.

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the effective date above and note the changes. Continued use of the extension after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
